How to Submit Photos

Please email the best quality copy of the photo that you want fixed to twentyfiveandgold@yahoo.com

Remember that the quality of the photo we receive from you, will help determine how much of the small details can possibly be restored so that you receive a beautiful restoration.  Distorted photos taken on an angle and in poor light make it difficult for us and reduce the chances of keeping all the details the photos has.  It also takes us longer to correct errors and increase the costs to restore the photo.  It's always best to take the photo on a straight angle with lots of light and no shadows. If you are able to scan the photo on a flat-top computer scanner, you'll get better results, as it captures much more of the detail available in the picture. Taking a picture of the picture with your cell phone is okay too, but keep very steady to ensure you aren't potentially blurring any important details and fading out certain areas that will then be unrecoverable.  It's important to take the picture in full light, without shadows straight-on, not on a warp or angle.  Minor distortions are difficult to fix and cost additional, if fixable, so the best copy you can send is very important.  You must send a flat-copy photo.  Photos sent on major angles will not be accepted, as they are un-editable.

**When we are re-colourizing your old black and white photos, we use re-colourizing software that uses such components in your photos, such as RGB levels (red, green, blue levels) and tonal levels to determine what the colours should be. Sometimes, especially in areas of strong light or shadows, colours can be mis-interpreted. Quite often the shade of black, in strong light, appears as a dark blue and white in shadows will come out brown or even grey. Sometimes a bit of research is involved to properly restore the photo and determine correct colours, especially in respect to things like old military uniforms etc. Any information you can provide about the colours in the photo you want enhanced help us give you the most realistic and accurate results when your photo restoration is complete.
